Appreciable: Dil Raju Stands By Sandhya Stampede Sritej

One of the more unfortunate incident associated with Telugu cinema happened during the screening of Pushpa 2. The latest update on Sritej’s condition has drawn public attention once again.

A year after the tragic stampede at Sandhya Theatre during the Pushpa 2 premiere, Sritej is still fighting for recovery. His health remains delicate and the monthly medical expenses are very high. His father, Bhaskar, recently explained that the compensation received earlier is no longer enough to manage the ongoing treatment and daily needs.

To understand the situation better, senior producer and TFDC Chairman Dil Raju personally visited Sritej and his family at the hospital. During the meeting, Bhaskar requested additional support to continue his son’s treatment.

Dil Raju assured the family that the entire Telugu film industry stands with them and promised that all necessary help would be extended. He also said that a permanent job could be arranged for Bhaskar if it helps the family’s financial stability.

So far, more than three crore rupees have been mobilized for Sritej’s medical care, contributed by actors, producers, and well-wishers. These funds are being managed through a fixed system to ensure they are used properly for the boy’s recovery. Although progress is slow, everyone hopes that Sritej will regain full health with continued treatment and support.
