The overseas box office has largely opened up for Telugu films in recent years, and the same can be understood if we look at the performance of the second part of Pushpa.

Down below below is a look at the top 10 highest grossing Indian films at the overseas box office, and this would give us a better picture of what is happening.

#Pathaan $49.33M

#Jawan $48M

#Baahubali2 $46.98M

#Kalki2898AD $31.95M

#Animal $31M

#Dangal $30.7M

#Pushpa2 $29.21M (18D)

#Padmaavat $29.15M

#BajrangiBhaijaan $28.64M

#Dhoom3 $28.33M

As things stand, the second part of Pushpa is currently in the seventh position in the list of highest grossing Indian films at the overseas box office. However, there is a very good chance that the Allu Arjun film could trek further high up on the list.

All that Pushpa 2 needs now is another $1.8M to beat the tally, put up by animal at $31 million. Considering that the film is holding its ground in the north American box office, it should be a fairly straightforward box office run for Pushpa 2 to emerge in the top five list.

Another positive thing that is to be observed here is that Tollywood had two new entries into this overseas list in 2024 alone in the form of Kalki and Pushpa 2.
