Pushpa 2 Controversy Continues? Prasad’s Ignores Mythri

For those who don’t already know, leading production house Mythri Movie Makers had a fall out with the leading cinema chain in Hyderabad Prasad’s Multiplex. This originated during the release of Pushpa 2.

Going into the story, Mythri Movie Makers had a tussle with the management at Prasad Multiplex regarding the percentage sharing basis between the distributor and exhibitor. The margin of difference was very small and perhaps insignificant, but considering the gravity of the issue, neither the production house or the Multiplex backed down.

This eventually became a tug of war between the leading production house and the leading multiplex in the city. As it appears, this issue is still continuing to this day, and the same can be understood if we look at the fact that Prasad’s Multiplex is ignoring the upcoming releases of Mythri.

Notably, this production house is releasing two films, namely Robin Hood and Veera Dheera Sura on March 28. But the issue here is that the Prasad Multiplex is streaming neither of these films in their cinema chain. This could be an indication that things are not yet settled between the exhibitor and distributor, which is the reason why both the films are being ignored by the Multiplex.

It has to be seen when this issue will be sorted out by the concerned parties as the longer it gets delayed, more the damage will be delivered.
