Telugu Box Office: What Is Realistic Target Of Pushpa 2?

Pushpa 2 is riding high on buzz, thanks to the immense mass penetration of the first part which was a raging hit in the mass circuits. This mad hype has meant that the film was marketed for huge prices in the Telugu states and particularly so in the Nizam belt.

As per reports, the Nizam rights alone of Pushpa 2 have fetched a whopping Rs 100 crore which is an unprecedented number for a Telugu film. The makers are so very confident about the film that they have sold for an astronomical price with an internal adjustment mechanism in place.

Overall, the Telugu states rights alone are valued in the vicinity of Rs 210+ crores. This is the kind of numbers that we usually see for Rajamouli's films but Allu Arjun has made it possible with Pushpa 2 now.

While the numbers might look handsome on paper, recovering them at the box office is where the real deal lies. The film needs to open with a nearly unanimous talk right from the early shows if it is to work so miraculously well at the ticket counters.

In any case, Pushpa 2 must be grossing in the range of Rs 400+ crore in the Telugu states alone if it is to enter the safe zone. This is a mad figure in itself and it would take every single ounce of the sequel advantage and Allu Arjun's stamina to make it happen.
