Niharika Konidela Announces #PEP2 as 'Raakaasaa', Releasing in Theatres on April 3, 2026

The makers have officially announced #PEP2 as ‘Raakaasaa’, formally giving the fantasy-comedy its title and public identity. Backed by Pink Elephant Pictures and Z Studios, the announcement brings clarity to the project’s creative positioning while signalling the film’s transition into an active promotional phase.
The title announcement poster continues to define the film’s visual and tonal language with restraint. Built around the imagery of a solar eclipse framed by dense, brooding clouds, the poster places ‘Raakaasaa’ firmly within a myth-driven fantasy space. The title appears sculpted in an organic, carved texture with a subtle inner glow, evoking folklore, primal energy, and a sense of the elemental. The absence of overt comedy cues reinforces the idea that humour in the film is rooted in character and narrative rather than visual exaggeration.
On the production front, the film has progressed through its principal shooting phases in a structured and focused manner. The team completed a major action-heavy schedule choreographed by Vijay who raised to fame with his work in They Call Him OG, followed by comedy-driven sequences and other crucial narrative portions that shape the film’s tonal balance. With these segments wrapped, the bulk of the shoot is complete, leaving only one remaining song and approximately four days of talkie portions to be filmed.
‘Raakaasaa’ features an ensemble cast comprising Sangeeth Shobhan, Nayan Sarika, Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyardhi, Getup Srinu, Sukwinder Singh, Ramana Bhargav, Vasu Inturi, Rohini (Jabardast), Rohan (#90’s), Annapurnamma, Anoop Singh Thakur, among others. The film is written and directed by Manasa Sharma, with Anudeep Dev handling music, Raju Edurolu as cinematographer, and Anwar Ali as editor.
With production nearing completion, ‘Raakaasaa’ now heads into its final stretch, with audiences set to experience the fantasy-comedy on the big screen on April 3, 2026.
