"Hero's Friend" Eyeing On Direction Mantle

For being offered the role of hero’s friend in most films, talented actor Rahul Ramakrishna himself calls ‘Hero’s Friend’ in his social media bio many times. And this hero’s friend is now getting ready to make his debut as a director, though he hasn’t revealed many details about the same.

In a recent interview, Rahul Ramakrishna felt that rather than making films for theatres, it’s better to make movies for OTT as there would be no ‘collections’ pressure. He also felt that releasing movies in theatres is a big challenge one has to go through. During that discussion, he said that he would be happy to direct a film for OTT rather than doing a theatrical movie.

Well, that means the actor might have locked something for an OTT debut, and these days that’s easier than convincing producers to come up with a theatrical release. Also, Rahul himself starred in many OTT films, so naturally he has a set of audience on the digital front, and that might work for him too.
