The Sankranthi season is always very special for Telugu cinema, and this year too it created strong buzz at the box office. Prabhas’s latest film The Raja Saab released during the festive season and grabbed massive attention from the first day itself. Even though the film received a mixed response from the first show, it still managed to create a sensation in theatres, especially in AP and Telangana.
From the early morning shows, audiences had divided opinions about the film’s story and presentation. Some viewers felt the film did not fully meet expectations, while others enjoyed its entertainment value and Prabhas’ screen presence. Despite the mixed talk, the opening collections clearly showed the star power of Prabhas. Fans turned out in large numbers, proving that festive releases still have strong pull.
On the second day, The Raja Saab recorded impressive AP–TG shares of ₹13.5 crore, topping the list of recent big releases. This strong number came even with competition from other major films and mixed word of mouth. Trade experts believe that holiday advantage and fan-driven footfalls helped the film maintain solid momentum.
The film stood in first place in Tollywood films for two-day shares. Pawan Kalyan They Call Me OG collected ₹12.2 crore and stood in second place . War 2, which benefited from a national holiday like August 15 earned ₹9.3 crore and stood in third place. Guntur Kaaram followed with ₹8.5 crore while Game Changer registered ₹8.2 crore. Hari Hara Veera Mallu stood at ₹3.8 crore.
