Rajamouli’s Varanasi’s Tough Competition to Ramayana 2

Indian cinema has seen many films based on the Ramayana. Some films became big hits but in recent times few films failed to impress audiences. The main reason may be that people have watched the same story many times. Today audiences want more than just a retelling of the epic. They want to feel the emotions, connect with the characters, and experience the story in an emotional way.

Prabhas’ Adipurush is one example of a film that faced criticism from audiences. Many viewers were not happy with its presentation. Now another big film based on the Ramayana is getting ready to reach theatres.

Ranbir Kapoor will play Lord Rama in Ramayana directed by Nitesh Tiwari. The makers are planning to present the Indian epic on a grand scale.

At this time, director SS Rajamouli’s comments about his upcoming film Varanasi have attracted attention. Rajamouli said that he was not fully satisfied with the way epics like the Ramayana had been presented in cinema. He also revealed that he got an opportunity to show an episode from the Ramayana in Varanasi.

The director wants to present the episode with best visuals and also strong emotions. If Rajamouli succeeds in doing this, Varanasi could create a new discussion among movie lovers.

The interesting point is that audiences may compare the Ramayana episode in Varanasi with the presentation in Ramayana. If Rajamouli’s version impresses viewers then they may expect even more from the second part of Ramayana.

The release order could also play an important role. If Varanasi releases before Ramayana 2, the expectations for the sequel may increase. Viewers may wonder whether the second part can deliver an even more powerful experience.

So unexpectedly, Rajamouli film can give very tough competition and can create a big comparison with Ramayana Part 2. So now indirectly Varanasi is going to have its effect on the Ramayana franchise.
