Did You Know Why Rajamouli Couldn't Director 'Bhajrangi Bhaijaan'?
He said, "While I was narrating the script of Bajrangi Bhaijaan to my son, he had become teary-eyed.
Bollywood's Bhaijaan Salman Khan has lost form in recent times but whatever he touched turned gold till a few years back. Starting from 'Wanted' to 'Tiger Zinda Hai', he delivered super hits without even breaking a sweat. His biggest hit was 'Bhajrangi Bhaijaan' which did not just please his fans but every movie lover across the nation. The heart-touching story and beautiful performances made this film a masterpiece. Directed by Kabir Khan, the story of this movie was given by Vijayendra Prasad.
The movie came back in 2015 and there are discussions about the sequel to this blockbuster now. As we know, Vijayendra usually narrates all his stories to his son Rajamouli first. The screenwriter explained how 'Bhajrangi Bhaijaan' went into the hands of Kabir Khan instead of Rajamouli himself directing it. He said, "While I was narrating the script of Bajrangi Bhaijaan to my son, he had become teary-eyed. I had asked him if I should keep the story for him or whether I should give it away, and he told me to give it to someone else. "
He added, "Later when Bajrangi Bhaijaan was released, he came to me and said, 'You asked me at the wrong moment. I was utterly tensed about shooting for the climax of Baahubali so I said no, in haste. If you had asked me just 10 days earlier or 10 days later, I would have said Yes'."
Talking about the sequel which is being penned by Vijayendra Prasad himself, he stated, "The story will take an 8-year leap from the first part and I am hopeful that it will create the same impact as Bajrangi Bhaijaan did."
