Rajnikanth’s Life: Documentary Is Better!

The life and times of some of the legendary film superstars always make it to the headlines. However, when these legends have only victories to tell, what would excite the audience to watch it? That’s the biggest question, and that’s why many Indian biographical films are not clicking at the box office. Now comes Superstar Rajnikanth’s biopic.

For some time, along with his daughter Soundarya, Rajnikanth has been working on his autobiography, where he will be the first person narrating it. Though there are many biographies that have come out, this one would be very authentic for sure. However, there is buzz that they want to make a film out of the book. That might not work out, because we have seen how the biopics of stars like MGR, Karunanidhi and NTR have failed at the box office. Because their biopics are mostly about victories. But when a biopic has downfall and drama, then it might click like Savitri’s Mahanati and Silk Smitha’s The Dirty Picture.

However, the best way to present the biopic of someone of Rajnikanth’s stature would be to do a documentary for the likes of Netflix. That would have multiple commentators, narrators, some original footage and some shot footage, and it would have very good intensity. That’s the best way to come up with a biography that will be believed, watched and stay forever.
