Is Nelson Planning A Sequel For 'Jailer'?

As we all know, 'Jailer' which released in August last year and did exceptionally well. The film featuring superstar Rajnikanth in the lead role was a blockbuster and minted more than 600 crores at the box office. Fans have witnessed the aura of Rajnikanth back on the silver screen once again after a long time. The way Nelson presented the superstar whilst making him portray his age is truly commendable.

The pulsating background scores and songs given by Anirudh Ravichandran are truly a treat for the fans. Nelson became one of the most wanted directors once again. He failed with 'Beast' but 'Jailer' proved that it was just a blip and nothing else. Sources say that the Tamil director is now planning a sequel for 'Jailer'. The character of Muthuvel Pandian was loved by the fans a lot and they want to see him back on the big screen once again.

As per Chennai trade circles, Nelson is planning a second part for 'Jailer' and named it 'Hukum'. We all know how big the 'Hukum' song became and the expectations are going to be massive on the second part. Reports suggest that the shooting of this project may start at the end of this year if things go as planned. Anirudh will be giving music for this film as well.

Rajnikanth is currently working on 'Vettaiyan' and he is also doing a project under Lokesh Kanagaraj's direction. 'Hukum' may start after these two projects are completed.
