Rakasa Gets U/A Certificate, Trailer Builds Strong Buzz Ahead of Release

The upcoming Telugu film Rakasa has received a U/A censor certificate allowing it to be watched by a wide audience with parental guidance. This update has increased excitement around the movie which is already creating a good buzz due to its unique concept and strong visuals.

The makers recently released the trailer, and it gives a clear idea about the film’s world and story. Rakasa stars Sangeeth Sobhan and Nayan Sarika in the lead roles and is set to release in theatres on April 3. The film is directed by debut director Manasa Sharma and produced by Niharika Konidela under Pink Elephant Pictures, in association with Zee Studios.

The trailer introduces viewers to a mysterious folklore-based world. The story is set in a village where people live under fear, belief, and rituals. Sangeeth Sobhan plays the role of Veera, a character who enters this village and slowly starts to change things. At first, everything looks normal, but as the story progresses, darker secrets begin to come out. The film also mixes humour naturally, making the story more engaging and balanced.

The movie has already completed its business before release. The theatrical rights are with Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Movie Makers, while overseas distribution is handled by Atharvana Bhadrakali Pictures. The digital streaming rights are secured by Netflix, and the audio rights are owned by Saregama.

Apart from the lead actors, the film also features popular actors like Vennela Kishore, Brahmaji, Tanikella Bharani, Ashish Vidyarthi, Getup Srinu, and Sukhwinder Singh in important roles. Music is composed by Anudeep Dev, cinematography is by Raju Edurolu and action sequences are handled by Vijay.
