Why Is Rakul Preet Singh Always Struggling?

Rakul Preet Singh is one of the popular actresses who has worked in both Bollywood and South Indian cinema. However, her career has also been surrounded by several controversies and allegations. Even when she tries to stay away from controversies, her name sometimes gets connected to different reports. The latest issue involving her name is another example.

Recently, reports about an Income Tax search started circulating, with some reports linking Rakul to an investigation. The reports also mentioned allegations related to illegal foreign remittances and benami properties. However, Rakul Preet Singh has strongly denied any connection with the matter.

The actress took to social media to clarify the situation. She said that the search was not related to her and criticised media reports for publishing information without proper verification.

“It’s heartbreaking to see that There’s a growing trend amongst the self styled online reporters & some main stream media journalists to sensationalise the news without verifying facts.

Let’s therefore set the record straight once for all. The search was not pertaining to me. Let it be known that I am from the Armed Forces background & had no Godfather in the Industry. I have come up through sheer hardwork & as a responsible law abiding citizen have been paying my due taxes since the age of 20 years.

I am not involved in any kind of illegal Foreign remittance in personal capacity or on behalf of any Production house. I would also add here that I do not hold any Benami property on behalf of anyone anywhere in the country or abroad. Neither ANYONE has EVER gifted me any property at anytime nor do I accept such expensive gifts as a principle.

I urge all those who published these false, malicious and speculative reports to retract them and clarify the facts. I understand that everyone running a media business however big has their own commercial pressures. But it cannot come at the cost of facts. And certainly not at the cost of someone's reputation and livelihood.”

This is not the first time Rakul has had to clarify reports involving her. In the past too, her name has appeared in different controversies, and she has publicly responded whenever she felt that the information was incorrect. Even allegations involving her family members, including her brother, have created unwanted attention.

Because of this, Rakul often finds herself in a difficult position where she has to explain or clarify reports about herself. For a celebrity, such repeated controversies can affect public perception even when there is no proven wrongdoing.

Rakul has built her career through films across different industries and continues to work on new projects. But her recent experience shows how quickly unverified reports can spread online.
