Peddi OTT Release: Ram Charan Film Gets Two Streaming Dates

Peddi, starring Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor, is getting ready for its digital release after a successful run in theatres. The sports action drama hit the big screens on June 4, 2026, and became one of the biggest Telugu box office hits of the year. Although the film received mixed reviews from critics, audiences appreciated Ram Charan's powerful performance, emotional scenes and action sequences.

The movie marks the first on-screen pairing of Ram Charan and Janhvi Kapoor. It is directed by Buchi Babu Sana and produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under the Vriddhi Cinemas banner. Oscar-winning music composer A.R. Rahman composed the soundtrack, which also received a positive response from fans.

According to reports, Netflix has acquired the digital streaming rights for Peddi. The film is expected to premiere on the platform from July 16, 2026, in Telugu, Tamil, Malayalam, and Kannada. Reports also suggest that the Hindi version may arrive on July 30, 2026, after completing its theatrical window. However, the makers and Netflix have not yet made an official announcement about the release dates.

Peddi tells the inspiring story of a talented young athlete from a small village. He dreams of bringing pride and recognition to his hometown through sports. To support himself, he participates in local cricket and wrestling competitions. His life changes when a rival destroys his opportunity to compete at the National Wrestling Championship.

Instead of giving up, Peddi chooses a new path. He becomes a para-track athlete and works harder to achieve his dreams. The film also includes a touching love story between Peddi and Achiyamma, played by Janhvi Kapoor, who is the daughter of a local politician.

The movie features a strong supporting cast including Shiva Rajkumar, Jagapathi Babu, Boman Irani, Divyenndu Sharma, and Ravi Kishan.

At the box office, Peddi delivered impressive numbers. The film has earned over ₹240 crore net in India and crossed ₹336 crore worldwide, making it one of the highest-grossing Telugu films of 2026.
