Holidays and big films are a good combination that Tollywood is missing out on these days, and the latest to join that bandwagon is none other than mega hero Ram Charan’s Peddi, which is being directed by Buchi Babu Sana. After missing out on March 19th, the film locked on April 30th, giving hope that the movie will become that long-pending Sankranthi entertainer for the Telugu audience. Even that date is also missed out now.
At a time when everyone is thinking that the movie will hit cinemas on June 4th, catering to the long Summer holiday month, the film has simply locked another date now. As per insider reports, Peddi will be hitting cinemas on June 25th only, as they don’t want to clash with Yash’s Toxic on June 4th. Earlier, they have said that the film would be released in June 2026, but the date went to the end of the month. By the time Peddi releases, already schools and colleges will be open, and most people will wrap their holidays too. Many are wondering if this is an ideal decision or not.
Featuring Ram Charan as a cricketer and a wrestler in a rural setup, Peddi features the likes of Jagapathi Babu and Saikumar in some crucial roles, while Janhvi Kapoor is heading the glamour department. Already, the songs scored by AR Rahman have turned out to be chartbusters, and the pending item song is currently being shot, as per the reports. The film is in the final leg of shooting as we speak.
