Global star Ram Charan’s upcoming sports drama Peddi is moving fast with fresh scenes being shot at Ramoji Film City. The team is currently filming a festival sequence, set against a custom-built backdrop that reflects the culture of Uttarandhra. The film, directed by Buchi Babu Sana, is rooted in a period setting and aims to bring regional flavor to the big screen.
Charan has physically prepared for the role, and he's joined by Janhvi Kapoor, who plays the female lead. Their scenes together are being shot with a focus on authentic detail and energy. The visuals aim to reflect not just the time period, but the spirit of the region.
Produced by Venkata Satish Kilaru under Vriddhi Cinemas, the film is also backed by Mythri Movie Makers and Sukumar Writings. Kannada actor Shivraj Kumar, Jagapathi Babu, and Divyendu Sharma are part of the core cast, giving the film a solid lineup across industries.
Peddi is set to release on March 27 next year. With its strong cast, regional backdrop, and period setup, the film is shaping up to be one of Ram Charan’s most distinctive projects yet.
