During the filming of “RRR”, Ram Charan took special permission from SS Rajamouli and simultaneously took part in the shooting of “Game Changer” as well. Despite being directed by S Shankar, a pioneer in crafting socially relevant films that stunned the film audience for a long time, the film flopped at the box office. Guess what, even “Peddi” has a similar social touch that would shock everyone.

Going by the Chikri song, the wrestling teaser, the mega elevation shots, many felt that this is a film based on village cricket and then shifts tonality towards wrestling. However, the roles of Jagapathi Babu and Kannada star Sivaraj Kumar are not just ordinary ones, but they deal with some politics of the village. It’s coming out that the village gets badly neglected by politicians based on caste, and after Peddi takes things into his hands, the narrative takes dramatic turns. Towards the end, what Peddi has done for his village is going to be a shocker of sorts.

That means, Peddi under the direction of Buchi Babu Sana is more likely to give a different take to Ram Charan’s very own Rangasthalam which also dealt with similar topics almost a decade ago. At the same time, while Charan’s recent outing Game Changer struggled to showcase the politics perfectly, this time it won’t miss the mark, they say. Well, June 4th is turning out to be more exciting than anticipated.
