RGV Announces New Crime Thriller Police Company With Harshvardhan Rane

Ram Gopal Varma is all set to return to the crime genre with his new film Police Company. The filmmaker has announced the project, creating interest among movie lovers. The film will be backed by T-Series and will feature actor Harshvardhan Rane in the lead role.

Police Company is said to be based on the life of former Mumbai police officer Daya Nayak, who became well known for his work against the Mumbai underworld. The story will focus on his journey from a small village in Mangalore to becoming one of the most recognised police officers in Mumbai.

According to reports, the film will show different stages of Daya Nayak’s life and career. It will also cover his work during the 1990s and early 2000s, when Mumbai faced serious problems involving organised crime. His career included several operations against criminals and underworld groups.

RGV has a long connection with crime-based stories. His earlier films such as Company and D Company explored the world of organised crime. However, Police Company will be a separate story and will not have a direct connection with those movies.

The new project is also said to be a long-time dream for Ram Gopal Varma. The director has reportedly been interested in making a film on Daya Nayak’s life for several years. His interest in the police officer’s story was also seen through Ab Tak Chhappan, which was inspired by the lives of Mumbai encounter specialists.
