Ram and Ravipudi.. What’s Cooking?

A collaboration that was supposed to happen almost a decade ago is finally becoming a reality now. This is what the buzz says now as it is coming out strongly that director Anil Ravipudi and Ram Pothineni are officially teaming up for a film planned for Dasara 2027 release. Interestingly, this pairing was discussed years ago but never materialized due to timing and commitments. Now, after all these years, the project is finally happening, they say.

At one point in his career, Ram used to be the brand ambassador of an energetic commercial entertainment space created by directors like Sreenu Vaitla. Films like Ready showcased his biggest strengths, including comedy timing, youthful energy, and effortless commercial heroism. That film still remains one of the most entertaining commercial entertainers in Ram’s career. Now, many feel Anil Ravipudi might bring back that old entertaining Ram again.

Before this film, Ram is expected to complete his next project under his own direction, to be released in December 2026, while Anil Ravipudi will first wrap up his Sankranthi 2027 entertainer with senior hero Venkatesh. As Ram is going through a purple patch at the moment, surely a film with Anil Ravipudi will put his career back on track. And if this combo clicks the way the industry expects, Dasara 2027 could become a major turning point.
