Ram’s Music Gamble: Many Doubts Popping Up

With blockbusters not coming his way, hero Ram Pothineni is using all of his two decades of experience as a lead actor to carve out his next film, #RaPo23 as he is wielding the megaphone. And he’s picking up some talented technicians for the project to make it a sure-shot blockbuster.

After roping in Peter Hein to compose the action sequences and then DOP Thirru to crank the camera, right now Ram has picked up Sam CS, the Tamil composer known for his amazing background scores, to compose for the movie. While Sam’s Tamil films like Khaidi and Vikramvedha are known for their music, his Telugu films like the recent Jack and Dilruba and big films like Rama Rao On Duty haven’t made any mark. That’s the reason the Telugu audience hasn’t connected well with him. However, that depends on the directors also to get the right music, and we have to see what a debutant director like Ram Pothineni will do.

For a newcomer director, actually a proven music giant would help a lot rather than someone who hasn’t yet proved his mettle in Tollywood. Any popular names like DSP, Thaman or someone from the Telugu industry like Mickey J Meyer or Vivek Sagar would do a good job, than someone who is yet to make a mark. Maybe one has to see what’s on Ram’s mind, because the hero is hellbent that he will give a blockbuster to himself.
