Indian cinema is preparing for one of its biggest projects ever – Ramayana, a film being made on a grand scale with the highest budget in Indian film history. Although the story of Ramayana is well known, audiences are eagerly waiting to see how this epic will be retold on the big screen with modern technology and top stars. The film is planned in two parts, with the first part releasing during Diwali 2026.

A short video released by the makers recently has already raised expectations. Now, the latest update about the film has created even more curiosity. According to the film unit, Ramayana Part-1 will end with the emotional scene of Jatayu’s sacrifice. In the story, Jatayu fights Ravana while he is taking away Sita. Before his death, Jatayu informs Lord Rama about Sita’s abduction. This moment will mark the conclusion of the first part, while the major war will be shown in the second part.

Adding to the excitement, legendary actor Amitabh Bachchan will give the voice for Jatayu in this powerful scene. His deep and commanding voice is expected to bring extra impact to the emotional moment.

The film features an impressive cast. Ranbir Kapoor will be seen as Lord Rama, while Sai Pallavi will play Sita. Kannada superstar Yash has been roped in as Ravana, promising a fierce portrayal of the mighty king. Directed by Nitesh Tiwari, the film is being produced by Namit Malhotra with a massive budget.

The second part of the film is scheduled to release in Diwali 2027, exactly a year after the first installment. With its scale, cast, and storytelling, Ramayana is expected to be a milestone in Indian cinema.
