Well, big films getting a Court Order to take action against piracy, and the clips being shared on social media regarding the movie, is not a new thing, and the likes of Mana Shankara Vara Prasad and other Telugu Sankranthi releases successfully availed that option. Looks like even Ramayana joined the brigade, but is getting a Court Order.

The other day, the Bombay High Court granted interim copyright protection to the upcoming big-budget fantasy epic “Ramayana: Rise of a Legend”, which is simply Ramayana Part 1. The order enables swift removal of film clips, links and other stuff related to the movie from social media sites and any other website quite easily. The next hearing on this case, where the likes of Google are filed as respondents, will happen on December 16th, and until then, the Court Order will stand true, and all the links have to be removed. Even a small clip uploaded on Twitter (X.com) will easily get removed dynamically now.

Meanwhile, back then, when such an order was obtained by the Court, there was a widespread accusation that it was majorly used to target Film Reviewers. Because the film reviewers will use clips of the movie from the trailer, and this particular Order will be used to remove, block or restrict their videos on YouTube and other social media platforms. We have to see which way Ramayana will go with the release just 2 days away.
