These days, Hollywood films like Avatar 3, The Odyssey and even Spider-Man: Brand New Day have been released a day ahead in India, and Hollywood has seen them later.

The other day, producer Namit Malhotra, the man behind the ₹4000 crores budgeted “Ramayana” announced the release date of the film. After bringing out the English version trailer of “Ramayana: Part 1” in association with Sony Entertainment, he confirmed that the film will hit cinemas on November 6th in the North American circuits. Here’s the twist, however.

These days, Hollywood films like Avatar 3, The Odyssey and even Spider-Man: Brand New Day have been released a day ahead in India, and Hollywood has seen them later. However, Ramayana Part 1 will do the opposite of that, as the film will first release in the USA and Canada on Nov 6th in the English version, and the local language version in India will be hitting the marquee on November 8th. That’s kind of surprising to ignore the local market first and target the English market internationally.

On the other hand, with Part 1 release just two months away, many are wondering if the team will start promoting the film big time or not. Whether it is Ramayana or any other movie, these days if there are not enough pre-release promotions, great openings are not even coming. So, the makers should start promoting the film now, both in India, the USA and other countries.
