At the Kaantha trailer launch event, Rana Daggubati shared some important insights about the film and its theme. When a journalist asked if the movie would reveal the dark side of the film industry or hurt anyone’s feelings, Rana calmly responded, saying, "This film doesn’t show the dark side of the industry, but it explores the dark side within human beings. It won’t hurt anyone."
Another journalist then asked if the story was based on egos between two people and whether there are scenes related to any real-life personalities. Rana clarified by saying, "This is a story between a mentor and his student. It’s about their emotions and journey, not something that would hurt the industry or anyone in it."
Rana Daggubati has always been a man with multiple talents — actor, entrepreneur, storyteller, and now, a producer with a clear purpose. Interestingly, Rana revealed that his journey as a producer began even before he became an actor. He mentioned in an interview that he always wanted to tell strong and meaningful stories through his production house, Spirit Media.
The trailer of Kaantha shows an intense clash between a mentor and his protege. The story unfolds when Chandran decides to rename his mentor Ayya’s female-centric film Shaantha to Kaantha.
Originally planned for release on September 12, the film’s release was postponed to let Lokah: Chapter 1 – Chandra continue its successful run at the box office. Kaantha is now set to hit theatres on November 14 and expectations are high for this emotionally charged human drama.
