At the trailer launch of Kaantha, actor and producer Rana Daggubati made headlines with his speech about the film’s cast. The event was attended by Dulquer Salmaan, Bhagyashri Borse, and other team members. Rana shared his excitement about the project and praised the performances of his co-stars.

At the Kaantha trailer launch, Rana Daggubati spoke warmly about actress Bhagyashri Borse. He revealed that he was the one who first planned to bring her to Telugu cinema. Praising her talent, Rana said, “I was the one who brought Bhagyashri Borse to Telugu, but because of some delays, she went on to do many Telugu films before mine Film.” He affectionately addressed her as “madam” on stage.

Speaking at the event, Rana said, “Nadippu Chakravarthy Dulquer Salmaan, you’ll hear this chant all over Tamil Nadu after Kaantha releases. I think if someone writes a period story for India, they come to Dulquer first, and if his dates are not available, then they go to other actors. He has always been a dear friend and a true film lover, but after this film… Man, I am a fan. What an amazing, amazing actor he is truly.”

Kaantha is a multilingual film, co-presented by Dulquer Salmaan’s Wayfarer Films and Rana Daggubati’s Spirit Media. It will be released in Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam on November 14.

Set in 1950s Madras, Kaantha features Dulquer as T.K. Mahadevan and also stars Samuthirakani, Bhagyashree Borse, Rana Daggubati, and Ravindra Vijay.
