Ranbir Kapoor and Sai Pallavi attended the grand launch event of Ramayana in New Delhi on July 18. The two actors spoke about their roles in the much-awaited film and thanked the audience for their love and support.

Ranbir Kapoor, who is playing Lord Rama, said he feels honoured to take up such an important role. He also paid tribute to veteran actor Arun Govil, who became famous for playing Lord Rama on television. Ranbir said, "First of all, I would like to talk to Mr. Arun Govil. Sir, you have presented this responsibility with such beauty, honesty and dignity for years." His words received loud applause from the audience.

Sai Pallavi, who will be seen as Sita Maa, shared that she feels grateful for getting the opportunity. She said, "It is not easy for actors to get roles like this because to play a god or a goddess, it is not an easy task." She also thanked the filmmakers for trusting her with such an important character.

Talking about her preparation, Sai Pallavi said, "When it comes to playing Sita maa, I don't think I chose the role. I think I was blessed to play this role." She explained that she spent time in meditation and tried to keep her thoughts calm and pure while working on the film. She added, "I would just sit and meditate and say, Sita maa, you act through me."

The actress also revealed that although she has been part of the project for the last three years, the makers have been working on the film for almost ten years. She said she feels excited, thankful, and humbled to be part of such a special project.

The event was attended by many members of the cast and crew, including Arun Govil, Lara Dutta, Ravi Dubey, Shobana, Rakul Preet Singh, Kunal Kapoor, Kumar Vishwas, and Ajinkya Deo.

The biggest surprise of the evening came when Yash, who will play Ravana in the film, made a special entry. His appearance thrilled the audience and added more excitement to the grand launch of Ramayana, which is one of the most anticipated Indian films.
