Ranveer-Alia's 'RRKPK' Has No Chance Of Failure!

Bollywood's elite filmmaker Karan Johar has been in the film industry for two and half decades. On his 25th anniversary in the industry, he is arriving with his directorial 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani'. Starring Ranveer Singh and Alia Bhatt in the lead roles, this movie is arriving with a lot of expectations on 28th July. The trailers and songs have Karan's mark written all over them.

This is Karan's first directorial after 'Ae Dil Hai Mushkil' which came seven years ago. Sources say that the movie is made on a massive budget of 178 crores which is so huge considering Ranveer's recent track record. All his films which came out in the last three years tanked heavily at the box office. But it looks like 'Rocky Aur Rani Ki Prem Kahani' is already in the safe zone.

Dharma Productions spent 160 crores on making the movie while the rest was spent on publicity. If sources are to be believed, they already earned 80 crores through OTT rights. Amazon Prime Video has bought the stream rights while Colors TV bought the satellite rights for a whopping 50 crores. Reports suggest that Saregama Music got the audio rights deal for 30 crores. This means that the makers have already earned 160 crores through non-theatrical rights and all they need is another 40-50 crores from the theatres to make decent profits.

Considering the hype around the movie, it is not a huge task as per the trade pundits. Dharma Production and Viacom18 are jointly producing this flick while Ishita Moitra, Shashank Khaitan and Sumit Roy have provided the story and screenplay. Ishita Moitra penned the dialogues while Pritam composed the music.

'RRKPK' has a simple story where the hero and heroine fall in love instantly. The problem arises when they decided to get married. Both the families are in complete contrast with each other and the couple decides to switch families for three months in order to convince them. This leads to a lot of fun, drama and conflicts.
