After Dheeraj, Ravi Babu Slams Pre-Release Events As Useless Drama

Recently, during an interview promoting his recently released film The Girlfriend, starring Rashmika Mandanna, producer Dheeraj Mogilineni said that pre-release events have become a waste of money. He mentioned that they no longer attract crowds the way they used to. And now, another person has shared the same opinion.

Director and actor Ravi Babu also said that pre-release events have become irritating these days. According to him, everyone keeps praising each other on stage, and it feels unnecessary. He added that such events do not happen in Hollywood, so he questioned why they are held for every movie here.

He also explained something interesting about his 2012 horror thriller Avunu. When an interviewer asked why the poster looked like an elephant squeezing the heroine, Ravi Babu said it was a metaphor to show that the heroine was about to face danger in the story.

Ravi Babu last directed the film Crrush in 2021. This year, he appeared as an actor in Coffee With a Killer. He has also directed a new series titled Yenugu Thondam Ghatikachalam, which was released on ETV Win on November 13th, but it did not gain much popularity.
