The teaser launch event of Cult turned into an emotional moment when actor-director Vishwak Sen surprised music director Ravi Basrur with a Rolex watch.
After receiving the watch, Ravi Basrur shared a very touching story from his life. He spoke openly about his struggles and emotional pain during his early years. He said, "At the age of 18, I wanted to die twice." He then revealed how his life changed because of one kind person. "One man saved me and gave me 35,000 rupees to buy a keyboard. His name was Ravi."
Ravi Basrur further explained how that moment shaped his identity. "That day, I changed my name to his name. After that, only Vishwak Sen recognised the music inside me." He said these two people played a major role in his life and added, "I can never forget these two people."
Speaking about Vishwak Sen, Ravi Basrur praised him with great emotion. "In my 25 years of experience, this is the first time someone saw my soul and appreciated it. That person is Vishwak Sen." He made it clear that the Rolex watch was not about money or status. "This is not a watch. This is appreciation for a music director."
