Ravi Rathod, who rose to fame as a child artist in the hit film Vikramarkudu, has had a career spanning over fifty films, including notable works like Andhrawala, Khadgam, Bommarillu, and Shankardada MBBS. However, his journey hasn’t been easy. Recently, he opened up about his personal struggles, including the devastating loss of his family, his struggles with alcoholism, and his battles with mental health.

Ravi shared a heartbreaking memory from his childhood, revealing how tragedy struck when his parents and grandmother tragically set themselves on fire. He recalled, “The last film I did as a child artist was SMS, and just then, my entire family died in that horrific incident. When I went to the shoot, they were all gone. I left my home to live with my uncle and aunt afterwards.” This tragedy profoundly affected him, and he went through a turbulent period in his life.

He also spoke about being adopted by renowned choreographer-director Raghava Lawrence, who helped him rebuild his life. Lawrence enrolled him in a prestigious school, providing him with the financial support to continue his education. Despite this, Ravi struggled with his career and personal life, explaining that he had lost the will to continue acting after repeatedly being told to wait for opportunities that never came. "I stopped trying as an actor. I was told to come tomorrow, come tomorrow... but nothing ever happened," Ravi admitted.

Ravi revealed that he turned to alcohol to cope with his overwhelming emotions, admitting, “I am addicted to alcohol. If I don’t drink, I remember all the memories. I can’t go a single day without it." Despite his struggles, Ravi remains resilient, reflecting on his life’s journey and the strength he’s found to survive through the darkest of times.
