Maadhav, nephew of Mass Maharaja Ravi Teja, is stepping into films with Maremma, directed by Mancherla Nagaraj. Produced by Mayur Reddy Bandaru under Moksha Arts, the film has already attracted attention with its teaser, and the newly released trailer adds considerably more intrigue. Ram Pothineni has unveiled the trailer.

The story unfolds in a village where buffalos mysteriously start dying. As panic spreads, the elders recall a prophecy that speaks of a male buffalo being born before the third full moon. The arrival of Maari, the buffalo cared for by the protagonist, appears to be closely connected to the strange events surrounding the village. What begins as an intriguing belief gradually turns into something far more unsettling as the same incidents resurfaces years later, pushing the villagers into fear and chaos.

For Maadhav, Maremma marks his first step onto the big screen, and the trailer suggests he has chosen a challenging role. He looks natural in the rural setting and brings a convincing innocence and intensity to the character. Deepa Balu plays his love interest

The trailer’s biggest strength is its atmosphere. Rather than relying only on drama, the film appears to build its impact through faith, superstition, village traditions, and spiritual elements. Prasanth Ankireddy’s cinematography beautifully captures the earthy landscape and gives the film an authentic visual identity. Prashanth R Vihari’s score adds weight to the suspense.

Overall, Maremma looks like a grounded village story with a strong spiritual and mysterious layer. The trailer succeeds in creating inquisitiveness ahead of its release on the 10th of this month.
