In recent times, there is huge uproar that some senior heroes are demanding huge money as they feel that OTTs are paying very good bucks to producers. However, when films are not working, OTTs are not paying, but these stars are not backing off. In that list, the name of Raviteja was heard big, as he made noise by demanding a solid paycheck as his remuneration, and hadn’t signed films due to the same. But not all days are sunny.

With some back-to-back flops hurting his chances, Raviteja has now changed the way he takes his remuneration. It’s coming out that for his next film which will be produced by Dil Raju, which has Hasith Goli directing it, the actor will take only ₹2-3 crores as a basic advance. Then the rest of his remuneration will be connected as a share in the profits. If the film makes lots of money, then Raviteja will walk out with more than usual. And if the film fails to click, then the hero might not get anything more. Definitely if a Raviteja movie is made under ₹20-35 crores of making cost, surely the hero might walk away with a huge chunk of profit. That way, the profit-sharing model will be profitable for him.

On the flip side, if all other heroes also come into this type of revenue-split model, surely the making costs will come down and every producer will be able to afford to make more movies. Also that reduces the interest costs on the loans, cash-flow issues and payment issues before the release. Well, let’s see how far it works.
