Ravi Teja Needs To Change Remuneration Format ASAP?

For a long time now, Ravi Teja has been one of the inconsistent heroes in Telugu cinema as he has the reputation of delivering back-to-back disasters with occasional hits. The situation has reached the rock bottom now, as almost all of his recent films have gone South.

Reportedly Ravi Teja is still not bothered about reducing his remuneration as he is reportedly charging in the range of ₹20 - ₹25 crore per film. This would essentially mean that the overall budget of his films, including the remuneration and the production cost costing Rs 50-60 crore.

This has essentially resulted in producers facing the major majority of the risk and the problem factor with regard to Ravi Teja’s films in the recent past. Subsequently, this upfront remuneration model is not likely to work in the favour of Ravi Teja in the near future, as projects are getting canceled left right and Centre.

The point to be noted here is that several Telugu heroes have moved onto percentage basis as they are not taking any remuneration upfront. Instead, they are taking a share in the oral profits of the film in order to share the button with the producer and enhance the production quality of the film.

This is something that many heroes have been adopting in the near future and it perhaps needs to be said that even Ravi Teja might need to go this way very soon.

The likes of Nandamuri Balakrishna, Sai Dharam Tej and Nani have already taken this percentage basis format forward, and it perhaps needs to be said that Ravi Teja also needs something on these lines.

On one hand, it has become extremely tough for Ravi Teja to bring audience to theatres even with decent response, which was observed in the case of BMW during Sankranti. At the same time, he is still one of the respected heroes in Telugu Cinema and can bring back the audience if he comes with consistent Content.
