Renu Desai Creates Stir With Fresh Tollywood Re-Entry Buzz

Renu Desai is back in conversation again, and this time it actually feels like a proper comeback. After Tiger Nageswar Rao, she slipped out of the spotlight for two years because her health wasn’t great. That film didn’t work out either, so she quietly stepped back to recover. Now she’s looking healthier, calmer, and honestly a bit excited. She posted new pictures from her next project with the caption, “And the పదహారు రోజుల పండుగ fun begins🥳😻,”.

In the photos, she’s all smiles in a bright red saree, clicking a selfie with the team at the pooja ceremony. The film is titled 16 Days of Festival, with producer D. S. Rao’s son Krishna Dammalapati in the lead and Sai Kiran Adivasi directing it. The cast is quite a mix, Anasuya Bharadwaj, Krishnadudu, Parvatheesham, Kerintha Bhavana, and Satya Krishna. From the energy in those pictures, the film feels like it might lean towards comedy, though no one has officially said anything yet.

The launch happened today, so not many details are out. But a quick group selfie featuring the hero, heroine, Anasuya, and Renu already made its way around social media. So far, she has acted in just four films, Badri in 2000, the Tamil film James Pandu, Johnny, and then Tiger Nageswar Rao after a long gap of nearly two decades. This becomes her fifth film. At 43, she looks peaceful and genuinely happy about being back on a set.
