At the prestigious Gaddar Film Awards, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy laid out an ambitious vision to position Hyderabad as a global hub for the film industry, on par with its established strength in IT and pharma sectors.

Emphasizing the city’s cinematic legacy, he credited legends like N. T. Rama Rao, Akkineni Nageswara Rao, D. Ramanaidu, and Krishna for bringing the film industry to Hyderabad, while acknowledging the relentless efforts of Ramoji Rao in strengthening its infrastructure.

He also pointed out that the expansion of platforms like Netflix, including its upcoming GCC center, reflects Hyderabad’s growing global appeal in the entertainment sector.

The government, he said, is committed to transforming the film industry into a major economic driver, positioning it alongside IT and pharma, while ensuring a safe and attractive environment for global investments.
