Recently, photos of him partying with actress Maasoom Shankar, holding a cigarette, stirred up social media. These images, shared to promote his upcoming film scheduled for release on February 16, raised eyebrows and sparked discussions.

Getting in the news, in a recent promotional move, Ram Gopal Varma sparked attention by sharing photos featuring him in a black shirt and actress Maasoom Shankar donning a black mini dress, with free-flowing hair and light makeup. The snapshots offered a glimpse into their celebration, where RGV strategically used the images to generate buzz around his forthcoming film slated for release on February 16. However, the pictures stirred a mix of curiosity and controversy, as observers scrutinized the unconventional promotional approach.

One of his recent projects, "Vyooham," faced significant controversy. The film, rumored to be based on the life of Andhra Pradesh's current chief minister, YS Jaganmohan Reddy, portrayed Chandrababu Naidu negatively. This depiction led to legal issues, with Nara Lokesh filing a case against the film. The Telangana High Court even prohibited its release, and the CBFC canceled its certification. Despite the hurdles, recent updates suggest that the obstacles have been cleared, and the movie is expected to see the light of day soon.
