Pop Star Rihanna's Photoshoot Termed Religiously Disrespectful!

Internationally famous pop artist Rihanna is never out of the news. She performed live after years in the pre-wedding celebrations of Anant Ambani and Radhika Merchant which went viral. Her paycheque for the performance turned a lot of heads. Her songs were always a sensation and people are eagerly waiting for her new album. Anything she does becomes a talking point whether positive or negative.

She has grabbed the headlines once again for her latest photoshoot. It landed her in hot waters as she posed in a black and white nun's habit. The bold makeup and provocative poses did not go down well with the public as they term that it is religiously disrespectful towards Christianity.

This bold and controversial photoshoot was done for Interview Magazine and people are in no mood to term this as creative expression. A netizen wrote, “I am a Muslim, but this is an insult to the Christian religion. Joke with everything except religions!” One user said, “Christianity gets disrespected way too openly.”

Another person expressed, “By the looks of the comments she might have to pull this one back and think about the image and what it represents!!! I am soo happy that people are defending their religion more and standing up for what is right. I love Rihanna but this is a hard NO and I know she sees it like fashion and all that but nope.”

Hurting sentiments is not new to Rihanna as she was accused of cultural appropriation for having a lord Ganesh pendant in a click and she was bashed for using Islamic text in her lingerie show Savage X Fenty. Rihanna is a practicing Christian and is open about it.
