One of the most talked about films in recent times is none other than Kantara and its prequel film Kantara: Chapter 1. After those two films, the respect and admiration towards the hero and director of those movies Rishab Shetty has increased multi-folds. And due to that admiration, he now has pan-India fame too, as those films worked big time across the corners of the nation. However, that put a big risk on his shoulders too.

Quite surprisingly, Rishabh Shetty has taken up the role of Chatrapathi Shivaji, which will be a biopic of the hailed Maharashtrian King who carried the baton of Hindutva for a long time after he opposed the Mughals. Though a film on the same life and times of Sivaji has failed big time when Ritesh Deshmukh recently came up with one, now Rishabh will be seen in newcomer Sandeep Singh’s direction in the film, “The Pride of Bharat: Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj” which will release in 2028.

Coming to the South, the talented actor-director also signed Prashanth Varma’s “Jai Hanuman” movie, where he will be playing the role of Lord Hanuman. This film hasn’t taken off yet, but the pre-production work and the visual effects-related work have been going on for a long time. Definitely these two are mega characters that are being shouldered by Rishabh Shetty now.

For the next 3-4 years, Rishab has to be completely involved in these two movies, and he cannot come up with another film to enthral movie lovers. At the same time, if the result of these films topples at the box office, even one of them, his precious time will be lost big time. Exactly this is the same situation that Prabhas was in after Baahubali, and then came films like Saaho, Radheshyam and Adirpurush.
