Kantara Hero Rishab Shetty Sparks Controversy Again!

Kantara: Chapter 1, the eagerly awaited movie directed by Rishab Shetty, has once again encountered difficulties. A bus tragedy involving young actors had previously forced the film's production to stop, and now another controversy has surfaced, bringing the movie into the public eye for all the wrong reasons.

The prequel to the 2022 bang Kantara, which Rishab Shetty is both directing and starring in, is presently being filmed in Karnataka's deep forests of Gavigudda and Herur. The crew is allegedly breaking environmental regulations by filming in restricted woodland regions, which has caused the local residents to express grave worries. They assert that the team has intruded into the forest and is even using explosives, endangering wildlife, even though they were granted permission to film in specific fields on the village's outskirts.

When a conflict between the film team and the villagers took a negative turn, tensions increased. Reports state that amid the heated altercation, the villagers accused the crew of beating a local youngster. A police case was filed at the Yesaluru police station after the event. The residents have also given a strong warning, threatening to pursue the case all the way to the High Court if nothing is done right now.

Expectations are still quite high for Kantara: Chapter 1 despite the controversy. The movie, which was produced by Vijay Kirangadur under the Hombale Films label and directed by Rishab Shetty himself, is being marketed as a gripping period action thriller that takes place during the Kadamba period. The film is expected to provide an engaging cinematic experience, with veteran actor Jayaram playing a crucial role and Rishab undertaking intense Kalaripayattu martial arts training for his role. In an attempt to get above the present obstacles and produce another blockbuster, the team has set an ambitious release date of October 2 of this year.
