The recent remarks made by Arshad Warsi regarding Prabhas in 'Kalki 2898 AD' has created a huge outrage on social media. Now, Kannada actor Rishab Shetty who recently won the National Award made some controversial statements regarding Bollywood which triggered the North media as well as the audience.

He said, “Indian films, especially Bollywood, show India in a bad light. These art films are invited to global events and given a red carpet welcome. My nation, my state, my language is my pride. Why not show it on a positive note? That's what I am trying to do.”

While the South industry fans loved his comments, the North enthusiasts were quite triggered by it. They claimed that his own movie 'Kantara' is filled with a lot of violence, cruelty and vulgarity. As expected, social media quickly turned into a war zone and people started bashing the actor.

On user said, “Kantara itself objectified women in so many ways, could never get the fuss about it. Insulting the Hindi film industry is in fashion nowadays.”

Another netizen wrote, “Success is temporary, but pinching female waist & shitting on Bollywood is permanent.” A Twitter user wrote, “Such a jealous soul… There are good & bad films in every industry… but their target will always be Bollywood.”

One person made a bold comment saying, “At least Bollywood doesn't have a murderer like Darshan from the Kannada industry who kills his own fans.” A noted Twitter critic said, “Degrading our movies is fine! Ridiculing our big stars is fine! Insulting our industry time & again is fine! But when someone from the Hindi belt (Arshad Warsi) comments about one of their 'film characters' (Prabhas in Kalki), that's where they draw the line.”
