While comparisons are common in today’s content-centric era, this one is not about criticising the quality, but making a mockery of a lack of originality. Many viewers feel the punch dialogues laced with cuss words remind them strongly of The Paradise, while the visual palette, lighting, and large-scale staging remind them of VD’s very own Kingdom.
Fans might have felt unhappy with these comments because they expected something that would immediately stand apart and wipe out the negativity caused by films like Family Star and Kingdom earlier.
