'RRR' Surprises At The Oscars Stage Once Again!

It was Emma Stone who bagged the Best Actress Award and 'What Was I Made For' song from 'Barbie' won the Best Song award.

The prestigious Oscar Awards ceremony was held last night and it is was 'Oppenheimer' who dominated the event by grabbing 7 awards. After being a director for the past 25 years, legendary filmmaker Christopher Nolan won his first Oscar and Cillian Murphy won the Best Actor Award while Robert Downey Jr won the Best Support Actor for the same film. It was Emma Stone who bagged the Best Actress Award and 'What Was I Made For' song from 'Barbie' won the Best Song award.

As we remember, it was 'Naatu Naatu' from our very own Telugu film 'RRR' which won the Academy award in the Best Song category last time. The visuals of the upbeat dance number were displayed once again in the background as Ariana Grande and Cynthia Ervio walked onto the stage to present the Best Song award at Oscars 2024.

Interestingly, the visuals of stunt sequences from 'RRR' were also included by the Academy as they displayed a video showcasing some the best action sequences in world cinema. Ryan Gosling and Emily Blunt took the stage to give the Best Stunts award. Indian movie lovers are very happy to see 'RRR' being included in multiple AVs at the 96th Oscars.

The team of 'RRR' wrote, “And again, a sweet surprise for us… Glad that @TheAcademy included #RRRMovie action sequences as part of their tribute to the world's greatest stunt sequences in cinema.” 'RRR' arrived in March 2022 and became a sensational hit. It won multiple international awards including Oscars and Golden Globes. The movie got a huge reception all across the globe and became the face of Indian cinema in recent times.
