As per the information that has been coming, the film industry suffered a big shock with the passing away of a veteran actor who shot to super fame for his comedic roles. At the age of 66, the veteran player is said to have passed away due to a cardiac arrest earlier today.

Media reports claim that Veteran Tamil actor RS Shivaji sustained a cardiac arrest suddenly and passed away. Condolences messages are pouring in for the legendary actor who was part of more than 100 films across the languages. The unfortunate news was announced by his family on social media.

Shivaji started his career in the industry as an assistant director and became an actor. There is no looking back from there. He has been active since the 1990s and was part of many iconic and cult classic films. He was last seen in Yogi Babu’s film Lucky Man.

Shivaji played a memorable role in Kamal Haasan’s critically acclaimed Anbe Sivam. The veteran actor was also part of the small screen arena as he appeared in a few serials. Having worked in films, the senior actor also had the opportunity to be a part of OTT content. He appeared in the Tamil sci-fi thriller Time Enna Boss.

His family is in the film industry. His father M. R. Santhanam is a noted actor-producer while his brother Santhana Bharathi is a popular director who directed many critically acclaimed films with Kamal Haasan.
