Fame can be funny sometimes. It brings love, applause, and… a few headaches too. Actress Rukmini Vasanth, who became a known face across India after Kantara Chapter-1, recently had to deal with a weird situation, someone started pretending to be her over the phone.
In a straightforward post on social media, Rukmini said that a person has been calling people using the number 944****273, acting like her and trying to trick others. She made it clear that the number has nothing to do with her. Please don’t reply or answer any messages from it, she warned. She also reminded everyone that this sort of fake identity act is a cybercrime, and her team is planning to take strong action against the culprit.
Fans were quick to back her up, commenting that it’s messed up how people try to take advantage of someone’s name for money or attention. Rukmini also told everyone to stay cautious and not get fooled by random calls. She sounded more annoyed than scared, almost like someone swatting away an irritating fly.
On the work front, she’s got no time to sit and worry. After Kantara Chapter-1, her schedule is packed, she’s working on a film with NTR and Prashanth Neel, another one with Vijay Sethupathi and Mani Ratnam, and one more with Yash, directed by Geethu Mohandas. So yeah, while a fake number might try to cause some chaos, Rukmini’s clearly living in a different lane, one that’s fast, busy, and full of big names.
