‘Main Heroine’ Energy Avoiding Rukmini Vasanth

When the film Sapta Saagaraalu Daati hit cinemas, the heroine of the movie, Rukmini Vasanth, became a sensation of sorts. Many thought that she was the new-age Sai Pallavi and is most likely to take the film industry by storm. However, though opportunities rained for her in the same way, somehow she’s not getting the main-heroine-energy she was supposed to.

Whether it is Jr NTR’s Dragon, Rajnikanth’s Dharman (rumoured role) or Yash’s Toxic, Rukmini Vasanth is one of the heroines, but not the main heroine. There are always other heroines alongside Rukmini, and they are playing the most important roles. Some say that Rukmini is yet to prove herself as an actress who could lead the show, and that’s the reason even after Kantara 2, where she did both glam and negative roles, she isn’t getting proper roles.

On the other hand, currently the influx of too many talents into these big pan-India movies is making producers and directors cast heroines who are super popular across the tinsel towns. That’s the reason they are getting other heroines with massive stardom as main heroines, than Rukmini Vasanth. Well, all it takes is one such big film and one terrific role to get such a stardom. One has to wait for it.
