Why Didn't S Janaki's Granddaughter Cry?
She explained that her grandmother’s favourite person in the world was her elder sister, Varsha, who died in 2023, thus affecting their family a lot, as they never recovered.
Recently, legendary singer S Janaki has breathed her last, and there’s a lot of buzz on social media about the same. However, at the final rites of the singer, her granddaughter, Apsara Vydyula, was seen not even shedding a single tear, and that became a talking point. Many social media folks have trolled her big time for not even feeling sad about the death of Janaki. Here’s what the granddaughter says.
She explained that her grandmother’s favourite person in the world was her elder sister, Varsha, who died in 2023, thus affecting their family a lot, as they never recovered. She stated that grief won’t disappear, but they will carry it for the rest of their lives. Explaining about herself not crying, she said, “Over the past few days, I have seen people question my grief because they do not see tears in my eyes. Please don’t measure my love for my grandmother by the tears you do or do not see. We were taught, especially by her, to understand death from a deeply spiritual place. She taught us that love does not end when a life does”.
Apsara stated that her experiences made her stronger and says, “Grief is not always loud. Sometimes it is quiet, steady and deeply personal”. She ended her note saying that as her sister Varsha and grandmother Janaki have both reached heaven, the thought that they are together now brings her peace.
