With the film Varalakshmi Sarathkumar's Saraswati title getting named as “S Saraswathi”, now, many film-related people are commenting on social media pages that the new censor board officer is literally troubling them a lot. In recent times, the title of Hey Bhagwan was changed to Hey Balwant, and Couple Friendly was denied a U/A certificate, since when these allegations of the CBFC-Hyderabad troubling the films popped up.
However, some of the logically sounding film producers are feeling that this Censor Board actually corrects the mistakes, especially the cultural mistakes Tollywood has been making for years. In recent times, the title of Hey Bhagwan was changed to Hey Balwant, because inside the film, a large place where prostitution is happening is named as Bhagwan Lodge. Now that people have become more patriotic and culture-centric, they are unable to take criticism of their religious roots. If a kind of course correction is not present, then untoward incidents might easily happen.
On that note, the Censor Board is doing a good job in the aspect of a few of these crazy titles that were being used only to get viral attention rather than the actual correlation of them to the story that is being narrated. However, to avoid these last-minute changes, it is better if Tollywood also goes the Bollywood way by applying for a Censor certificate, at least a couple of months ahead.
