Pan-Indian film 'Salaar Part 1: Ceasefire' featuring Rebel Star Prabhas in the lead has finally hit the screens on 22nd December. Directed by Prasanth Neel, this action drama is running successfully with positive talk. 'Salaar' mania has took over the nation and theatres are screening the film with packed crowds. Prabhas has given a hit film after 8 years and fans are very happy about it. It is running with housefuls and registered record collections on the first day.

The mass action flick grossed over 175 crores on the first day worldwide according to reports. The collections in India were 95 crores as per sources and it is the biggest opener for an Indian film in 2023. The next place in this list is occupied by Vijay's 'Leo' and followed by Prabhas' disaster film 'Adipurush'. They both grossed over 140 crores on Day 1. Prabhas became the only hero to give two 100 crores grossing films on the first day in the same year. This is a huge record for Prabhas.

While Rajamouli's 'RRR' stands in the first place by getting 223 crores worldwide on its opening day, it is 'KGF 2' which stood in the second spot with a gross of 165 crores. Now, Prabhas overtook it with 'Salaar' and occupied the second positive. The top 3 movies in this list were occupied by South India. As we know, the last three films of Prabhas were big flops and fans pinned a lot of hopes on 'Salaar'. This made the fans go crazy for the film prior to release as the advance bookings were phenomenal.

Coming to the Telugu states, the opening day collections amounted to 70 crores and it is exceptional. Prabhas was seen as Devaratha while Prithviraj Sukumaran played the role of Varadharaja Mannar. Shriya Reddy played a key role while Shruti Hassan is the heroine.
