'Salaar' DOP Talks About Comparisons With 'KGF'!

Right from the moment the first look posters dropped, people started drawing comparisons between 'KGF' and 'Salaar'. Many even said that Prasanth Neel is creating his own universe in which both these characters are a part of. Some claimed that 'Salaar' is a grander version of Neel's previous work 'Ugramm' as well. The dark tones and sets that were shown in the trailer instantly reminded people of 'KGF' which made them think that there is a connection.

But cinematographer Bhuvan Gowda cleared the air on those rumours. He said, "In terms of scale and canvas, Salaar is 5X that of KGF. It has the biggest set work for any Indian film till date. We erected a private set in 100 acres at the Dandumailaram area for Salaar's shoot. We extensively shot in Ramoji Film City as well. The comparison might have come because the viewers felt both the films had similar dark sets. But you can't judge Salaar by the visuals in the trailer."

The first song 'Sooreede' generated a lot of hype as the movie lovers are very eager to see how this tale of close friends is going to turn out. As we know, this is the first part of 'Salaar' and the second part is expected to be released next year if everything goes right. Pritviraj Sukumaran is playing the role of Prabhas' friend while Eeshwari Rao will be seen as his mother. Shruti Hassan, Shriya Reddy, Bobby Simha, Jagapathi Babu and others play key roles in this movie produced under Hombale Films banner.
