Samantha Confirms Risky Date For Bangaaram

To prove herself as a solo mass star, senior heroine Samantha Ruth Prabhu has self-produced and acted as a leading lady in the film “Maa Inti Bangaram,” which is written by her husband Raj Nidimoru and directed by Nandini Reddy. Though the film locked May 15th release date earlier, citing that IPL Season is disrupting the arrival of audience to theatres, she has postponed the film. Finally, a date is locked now.

Confirming that Samantha will arrive in a grand release in a powerful mass avatar, Maa Inti Bangaram team announced that June 19th, 2026, is the release date of the film. This is quite a risky date for obvious reasons, the first one being the fact that all the schools and colleges that are on Summer holidays are being reopened on June 12th, and that would pose a major threat for Maa Inti Bangaaram to get audience to theatres. Before that, on June 4th, Peddi storm is already taking over Tollywood, and if the film gets blockbuster status and continues to woo crowds, then small films will surely find it difficult to get good screens and numbers too.

Anyway, the film is a kind of acid test for Samantha’s solo stamina, as her previous movies like Yashodha and Shaakuntalam haven’t worked, while her production venture Subham also didn’t get great revenues. Similarly, Nandini Reddy is also not in form as a director, and that’s another thing to be seen. That said, even Raj Nidimoru proved his mettle in the OTT world, but never had a theatrical success so far. Let’s see what happens on June 19th.
